I've been a bad, bad blogger lately. But I promise I have the best of excuses. I was busy planning a wedding (mine). The wedding was this past weekend and it was wonderful and beautiful and perfect for us. Second marriage for both of us, so we kept it small and simple but it was everything we wanted. I still feel like I'm walking on air and I keep smiling for no reason. I told the kids that it felt like it was my birthday - only better - and amazingly - it STILL feels that way.
We had the reception at our house so I'm still putting things back together in my office. And I'm finding things that got left behind. Like the lime green Crocs and the pink tie-dye socks. And the sippy cup that is in the fridge (although I know who that belongs to).
Now I get to go through the fun process of getting my named changed on everything. Drivers license, bank accounts, social security, passport, insurance... Wow. Maybe I should do a Google search. I bet someone, somewhere has already posted a list that I could use to help me remember everything that needs to be updated.
You know how every once in awhile, when you are settled in a warm, cozy place with your favorite people or things around you - you will get a feeling of contentment, satisfaction, and peace and you can't help but smile a little? Well, I think I'm stuck there and it's such a good place to be. Even the thought of all the paperwork to change my name can't wipe the smile from my face.
Thanks to everyone who celebrated our day with us. We are blessed with wonderful friends and family. The kids are already trying to plan another party because they had so much fun - and the best part is that we are in complete agreement with them!
